The brute trotted to the kennals, his paws landed silently on the ground. His brown eyes looked at the other dogs patheticly, he hide behind a rock, hoping noone had seen him.

A small feist had spotted movement and set up yapping and bouncing around to announce his find. Many other dogs began barking as well, although none yet knew what they were barking at.

Exiting the Dog Pound's office building, a human came strolling down the front of the kennels wheeling a large cart. He paused before each cage and carried in a cup full of dog food and pour into the food bowls.

The wolf- Dog waited until the human left, and then trotted to the nearest kennel. He bared his teeth at the dog, and lunged at it, but instead ran into the chain linked fence. His temper rising, he ran off in a blind rage. Seeing a cat, he dropped to his tummy, and hide behind a bush, not noticing the human. His silver hide didn't provide much cameflogde, but the cat didn't seem to notice him. He lunged at it, trieing to break its neck....

The cat saw the movement at the last second and sprang up with a poofed-out tail and raised fur. Sharp claws were flung out and raked across the hybrids nose before the cat landed once more and streaked off for a nearby tree.

The human had returned the cart and was walking past the window when he saw the hybrid attack. He quickly snatched up a noose-pole and ran outside. As Silent Storm went for the cat, the man tried to slip the loop around his neck...

The silver wolf-dog felt the noose around his neck, and wheeled to face the human. He bared his teeth, and tried to lunge at him, but the bar kept him from reaching him, his temper rising yet again, he pulled back with immense strenghth.

The man stumbled forward a few steps as the hybrid pulled back. Regaining his balance, the man planted his feet down and stopped Silent Storm from pulling back any more. He mumbled some words as he struggled with the canine. He began to drag him over to an empty kennel and tried to shove him in it, using only the pole of course so his hands wouldn't be at the peril of his fangs.

The dog tried to pull back angain, but the man was too strong. He chocked as he was forced into the kennal. He lunged at the dog beside him.. he then turned to the human, his beautiful head looked at him untrustingly.

The man watched him a moment, actually admiring the wolfish look of the brute. He owned a few dogs himself, one being a hybrid. He said some human words before turning and walking away.

A medium sized dog, some boxer mix, circled around in the cage next to Silent Storm. "You fought him pretty well! You're brave to growl and such; most of us here have learned not to do that though. What's your name?"

The silver wolf-dog looked at the boxer, and replied, "Thanks.I'm Silent Storm, but you can call me Storm.." He looked around at the other dogs, and added. "I'm gonna bust outta this joint."

He pranced his front feet excitedly. "Nice ta' meet ya, Storm. I'm Sarge." he replied, then questioned with an enthusiastic voice, "Gonna bust out, huh? I'd like to help! They say wolves are the best ones at getting outta tight situations. And you look like you have some wolf in ya." His stumpy tail waved.

He smiled at Sarge, and said, "Sure ya can help, thanks. I'm thinkin' what I'm gonna do, Ahh, I know, when he feedds you, act all happy to see him, that way he won't be supicious, and then run out, and run for the forest, I'll tak care of him...." He smirked, and imagined the taste of the human's blood..

"Sounds good!" he replied, still in his excitable tone. Knowing it would be a while until any human came out, Sarge padded to the back of his cage to lie down.

After a while, a human came out carrying some strange contraption. He was cleaning out some of the kennels. Sarge wagged his tail again in anticipation as he watched the man, then stood up, prancing his front paws. "Here he comes, here he comes!" the boxer-mix announced, still keeping his eyes glued to the man. The man reached the kennel and opened it, knowing Sarge and knowing that the hyper, people-loving dog wasn't going to just dash off. But he was wrong. As soon as the man stepped inside, Sarge shot past his leg into to the woods. There he stopped and looked back.

The wolf-dog barked his approval, and barked again, saying: "Good job Sarge."

Sarge wagged his stumpy tail all the more after hearing the praise. But he didn't bark back in case the human would come after him. But the human didn't, thinking that Sarge had run off and hadn't stopped in the timberline. He muttered some words under his breath before coming towards Silent Storm's cage. He wasn't sure of the hybrid's temperment, so the man stood infront of the cage and talked to him, seeing how the hybrid would react.

HE wagged his tail, as he had seen others do, and he barked happily, panting, making him look sweet. He came to the door, and looked up at the man, waiting....

He patted him on the head, seeing he was friendly. Then he eased the gate open very carefully and tried to squeeze into the kennel so that there was no room for Silent Storm to barge past him.

Sarge still waited at the timberline, unable to see what was going on. His keen ears told him a little bit.

Silent Storm liked the man's hand, and barked, he would gain his trust, and the nrun out when he left. He made no move towards the door, but instead moved away from it. He danced around the happily.

The man smiled and entered the kennel completely. The door was left partly ajar, but not locked. It would need to be pulled inward, towards the kennel, in order to get out. The man began to clean up spilt dog food and such with a little scooper he had brought with him.

Silent Storm danced around the man happily. He would have to wait to escape. He yipped happily, and looked to the woods for a breif moment where Sarge was.
