A van pulls up to the Dog Pound, and one man gets out and uses his noose-pole to get a rope around Darkness Falls' neck. He hoists her out of her cage, with the muzzle still on her, and drags her to the kennels and tosses her in a cage with two other pups. They removed her muzzle, and leave. Later, she might be taken to the Wolf Center.
The two pups in the cage with Darkness Falls watch the pup curiously. They were a mix of labrador and wolf. Lately, there had been many wolf-hybrid because people were breeding them, but then abandoning them at the pound after they found the hybrids too much to handle.
*cowering in the corner the pup didn't know what to do. pawing at the cage she whines.*
One of the pups tilts his head in curiosity, then spoke, "Who are you?" this pup had a long gash across his shoulder, and his fur was ruffled and unkept. His brother looked just as unkept, but didn't have an visible injuries.
"Where did you come from?" the second pup asked.
i don't know. somewhere out there. *looked at his gash but looked away not wanting to stare.*
"Did your humans dump you outside? That's what happened to us." The pup with the gashed shoulder said, "And I heard from other dogs that humans come here and take dogs away. And sometimes, they go to a place called the Wolf Center."
The other pup scratched at a flea biting his ear, then returned his attention to Darkness Falls, "What's your name?"
i don't know where i was i just now they threw something over me and brought me here. i'm darkness falls
"We don't have names." replied one pup. "Those humans are so cruel! Someday soon, we hope to be free. Some dogs here say that there have been wolves that come by and set us free. But if they don't, then the humans will come and take us."
do you want names though?
The pup with the wounded shoulder nodded, "Sure! We've never really given thought to names before. Do you have any in mind?"
hmm i'd have to think *thinks hard and long. smiles creeping across her maw every now and then.*
One of the pups prances his front feet in excitement, watching Darkness Falls' expressions, "What is it? What is it!? Did you think of a name?" The pup yipped.
The other one waved his tail enthusiastically, curious what this wolf pup was thinking.
*chuckling at there antics for names*okay here they are. *looking to the prancing pup *Thomas easy to remember for my brain. *looking to the other pup smiling* how bout Tommy. thomas and tommy if your both boys that is.
.:|:.Minx had followed the van with fierce anger. Sh' hid b'side the building until night could camouflage her completely. As soon as the sun fell sh' swiftly came t' the cage where Darkness Falls and the two pups she had dubbed, Thomas and Tommy, were held. -Odd names. Seems like two for human males. But after all, she's a pup.- sh' pondered studying the cage. Without bothering to introduce 'erself she hit the cage with 'er shoulder and began speaking. "'ow long have you two young'uns been 'ere?" she directed t' the two other pups. Sh' knew about Darkness Falls's capture an' didn't need t' know much more..:|:.
*yelping she flung herself back into the wall.*
Tommy, the slightly larger pup with the wounded shoulder was first to speak. "We've been here for..." the pup thinks a moment, "For a few weeks; I'm not sure how many now." He looked up at the kennel's door sullenly. He had watched as humans opened and closed the door by using the latch, but it was far too high for him to reach, and too heavy for him to move.
Thomas cowered back and watched Dangerous Summer.
.:|:.Staring closely at the pup who spoke.
"A few weeks? Maybe more?"
She whispered, studying the cage. Narrowing her eyes in confusion she looked back down at Tommy.
"Do you know a way to open this?"
She questions, raising herself on her two hind legs, studying the gate.:|:.
*the black pup watches the huge wolf with curious eyes.*
Tommy looked up at the gate, "They use their paws and move that thing." he replied, looking directly at the latch that was just too high for him to reach. "They move it up, and the door swings open."
*her ears perked up. she heard something coming their way. cowering in the back of the cage and whimpering smelling it coming their way. it was a human.*
Tommy turned his ears in the direction of the noise. "You'd better hide." he whispered suddenly to the wolfess, without giving explanation. Thomas cringed at the back of the kennel as well.
Tommy stood hesitantly in the center of the kennel, with one ear to the side in uncertainty. Soon, two humans could be seen striding down the sidewalk along the kennels. One wore a uniform that identified him as a Pound Workers. The other was a young man, looking to adopt a dog.
The pound worker stopped suddenly with a frown. He had spotted Dangerous Summer. "I'll be... is that a wolf?" he questioned, mainly to himself. The young man shook his head, "Nah, it must be a shepherd, and just a throw-back to its ancestors. No wolf would be around here, you know." The young man was new to the area, and didn't know how bold the many of the wolves here were.
The pound worker shrugged, "I s'pose that sounds right. Well, we can't have you running 'round here, now can we?" He said to Dangerous Summer as he began to walk towards her. Now he whistled lightly, and clicked his fingers, "C'mon, come 'ere..." he coaxed, trying to get the wolf to come to him.
*walks to the front of the cage growling*
.:|:.Dangerous Summer whirled around to meet the two leggeds, muscles tensed. Nothing seemed to be around them that they'd use to capture her, what were they thinking? Auds lace back against her skull, lips rising as she snapped at the air. Summer's lithe form closes the gap to the ground, stepping back an inch of two.:|:.
*walking to the front of their cage she growled at the humans. standing on her hind legs her small frame didn't take much height but she raised her hackles.*
