Sundown & Sideskill

Poor Sakura, this was not her day. After Hutch's good intentions had led her further astray, her life fell into the devious paws of this feline duo, and they'd moved her here once again. From the cavern in the lower mountains, she'd been carried up to the temple that sat west of the Ruins, perched amongst the low peaks. As Sundown had refused to have anything to do with the pup, and repeatedly chastised his brother for playing with the whelp instead than eating it, Sideskill was forced to carry her again.

By the time Sideskill made it to the temple and dropped Sakura on the hard, stone ground, his jaws were aching and his tongue was lolling from his mouth. "Phew, glad that's over!"

"Hang on, brother..." Sundown stalked past his sibling with a narrow-eyed look of suspicion. "Smell that? The Nuova were here. Very recently." Indeed, the temple carried their scent strongly.

Sideskill detected it too, but played off his concern, "They might have been here, but they're gone now. Besides, they live in that pit to the south; this is way too close to the Haunters for them." The big cat flopped down on his side, and idly stretched a paw out to bat at Sakura. "So squirt, what do you call yourself?"

Sakura

Sakura knew she wasn't getting out of here on her own, not a live at least. When she was dropped again she coward down from the big cats. She watched them warily. She knew little smells of others so she just remained silent till she was batted and she nipped at his paw.SakuraShe growled. what do you want with me? I'm just a puppy!She whined.

Sundown & Sideskill

"Hey!" Sideskill flash a fang at Sakura when she nipped at him, even though her bite hadn't drawn blood or even caused any damage to his thick pads. He now held the paw up over her head now, lazily teasing the puppy but holding back on swatting at her for just a moment. "Well Sakura, you're going to help me with something." Skill flexed his paw and showed off the large, curved claws that each toe contained. Claws larger than the puppy's own teeth, and easily sharp enough to shred her to bits if he so chose it. "I'm going to tell you a story, and you're going to go along with it, okay?"

Stalking towards the pair after surveying a nearby room in the Temple, Sundown flattened his ears and huffed at his sibling. "You're not doing what I think you're doing, are you?"

Sakura

She cringed down as he raised a paw and showed her his claws. She backed as far away from him as possible.A story?was all she said and then she yelped as the other approached them again. WHy had she run off? all because Star wouldn't play with her.

Sundown & Sideskill

Skill didn't answer his brother, leaving Sundown to shake his head and call over his shoulder, "Whatever. Have fun with that appetizer, I'm going to find a real meal." Pausing at the edge of the arched entryway, the big cat added on, "I don't think I'm going to share it with you."

The smaller feline didn't bother with his brother's attitude, or look over to watch Sun depart from the temple and head out along the mountain slopes to hunt. Instead he rolled onto his paws and stood up, padding after Sakura, "Yeah, a story." Sideskill circled around the pup, "The other option is being my dinner. So, think you can handle a little story?"

Sakura

She backed until her little hind end hit the wall in which she sat down and still tried to push herself even further back.I'll listenShe whimpered.

Sideskill

The big, ruddy-coated cat stalked after her at a leisurely pace, giving Sakura no reprieve. Once she hit the wall and had nowhere else to run to, he sat down in front of her, cocking his head to the side as he pondered the pup. "Aww, that's a good cub." His toothy smile, showing off a pair of very unfriendly fangs that could easily snap her spine in two, probably did little to ease the pup's anxiety. "We're going to go meet someone special tomorrow. And I want you to say that I rescued you."

Sakura

Sakura pushed herself back against the weall as he sat in front of her. He wanted her to lie.will you let me go after?She said with a whimper.

Sideskill

The whimper didn't seem to have any effect on the big cat, who showed no hint of empathy for the frightened, confused little pup. "Yeah, sure I'll let you go afterwards." He stretched now, flexing his front limbs and paws, and once again extending those wicked claws. A hearty yawn followed, "Go get some sleep now; we're going to go on a little trip tomorrow morning, before the sun rises. And don't bother trying to run off. These mountains are no place for a pup like you, and I hear the shadow monsters just love to feast on wolf cubs."

Sakura

Sakura was scared, why did he need to pretend that he saved a pup? What was the big deal. She just nodded and moved away from him before curling up. She could barely sleep though. Ocassionally she open her eyes to see where he was in fear he might sneak up on her. She missed the comfort of her mother and siblings.
