The young coywolf fled to the mountains. She did not know what the Ancient Guardians may do to her. Watching the Haunters' opponents, she sat in a corner and whimpered. Her mother was a Haunter, and her father was Vicious, but she no longer knew where she should be ever since the rescue mission.
He was just as harried as the alpha. Everyone was arriving, so fast and soon. Then, he caught the scent of another. An enemy. Fangs bared, and the Amura tiger turned and moved towards the scent of the coywolf pup. He gave her a low snarl, and said in a dark voice State your mission, or meet my wrath, pet.
Aurinka yelped when she saw the massive tiger come her way. She cowered in the corner, afraid of what he would do to her. "I-I don't have a mission. The Haunters are being really mean so I came here." She said fearfully. "Don't kill me...I'm not bad. Really I'm not."
His eyes were on the pup, and he let out a loud roar, calling to Baphomet. Within moments, the weary black wolf came forward, but his stance turned to that of ferocity. Haunter. He hissed darkly. He moved past Wasteland, His eyes aflame. What do you want? To spy upon us? Give me one good reason we shouldn't cast you out. He wasn't a bad wolf, but he didn't want to seem foolish for letting A Haunter in their midst.
Aurinka was nearly crying now. "I'm afraid." She said weakly. "I'm afraid of Risen, and my mother, and my father, and all of the other Haunters except for my full brother and sister." Tears began to roll down her face as she trembled in the corner.
His eyes were flat, no emotion showing. You may stay here, but you will be watched closely by Wasteland. The tiger raised his eyes to Baphomets, and gave a low growl. Rolling his eyes, Baphomet said Fine. You shall be watched even closer by Vision and Elemental. Two sisters, neither very nice. Not true, but he wanted Aurinka to know that he wasn't going to play games with her. He let loose a bark, calling to the two females.
Vision was the first to arrive. Her tail wagging, she gave an appeasing smile to Baphomet. Then her eyes fell upon Aurinka. Hello little one. She said warmly. Then she heard the hiss of WAsteland Haunter.... Her eyes didn't give way to anything. Come with me. I'm Vision, whats your name?
Elemental stayed in the darkness, her eyes on Baphomet. He nodded at her, but nothing more. She'd watch the pup from the sidelines, quiet and never there. Until she screwed up.
Aurinka was like Rajsa, once a Haunter, but unhappy with the way others are treated. If Wasteland was nice to Rajsa, why wasn't he nice to an innocent pup, just looking for a home? One could only guess. She nodded as Baphomet spoke. "I-I'll be nice. I promise..." She replied, keeping low to the ground.
It was then that Vision arrived. She tried to wag her tail, but it remained tucked under her. "I'm Aurinka." She said softly. Her mind slowly drifted to Liekki and Iota. Her eyes grew wide. She was sure that Iota would not be persuaded to join the good guys, but Liekki might. Their mother, though, almost seemed to be losing her mind. She wouldn't bother with that coyote. She thought of what might happen to her family. "Can we save my brother and sister?" She asked, but then crouched down again, fearing that she may have blown it.
She paused a moment, then looked to the small pup. We have to keep it a secret, alright? I'll go with you but we can't tell anyone. Yes, she was so vicious, could you tell? She'd just eat your heart out. Not. She gave another smile. Then her eyes lifted to Elementals, and she saw a flash of teeth. A warning, but she didn't pay attention. Lets go get them.
Aurinka finally managed to wag her tail. She smiled and nodded and walked towards the door. "We can't let Risen or Mom know. They might hurt us." She said, almost in a whisper. Iota would be a tough one to get. She didn't even know where that one was. But she knew very well where her brother was...with her crazy mother. "You can go first..."
She smiled and nodded. Ruins then Then she turned and trotted out, passing her growling sister and others, without a second thought.
Aurinka barked and bounded after her new friend.
