Aava & Esprit
The two lone faes wandered down through a narrow corridor of ridges, one looking quite down and broken, and the other looking fairly nice, especially compared to the other.
Aava, the one who wasn't in such great condition, was moving slowly. Her ribs were showing well enough through her pelt to give away the starving appearance. She was becoming malnurished at this point, with having herself being overall too weak to fight at the moment. Ever since finding out that not only was her first ever mate dead, but her other daughter had been killed by some unknown bunch of canines. Little did she know, the humans had been in on the second killing.
The yellow-tinted white wolfess soon stopped, feeling her strength slowly wear off from the long trek through the mountains.
"Come on, we have to get some food," Esprit stated, giving her mother a light nuzzle. It was best to not come around Aava too much right now, since even Esprit herself had been attacked a few times already since her mother's desperate health drop.
Aava silently gave her head a jerk, away from Esprit's nuzzle. She then growled to herself, feeling a new sense of anger set in before she finally fell down on her side. Back before, she had once been a strong, respected alpha. That was when everything was fine, completely perfect. Until her mate had gone off, unknowingly, and she never seen him again. She still wanted her revenge-- revenge on the ones who took him from her. Yes, she'de get it in time. They wouldn't go unpunished. Aava's temper was incredibly sky rocketed nowadays, and she seemed so far away and "out there" at times. Esprit had no clue why, either. She figured that she just needed some rest, and some nutritious food.
Esprit looked behind her as Aava dropped onto her side, and she turned, eyes taking everything in. The white ex-alphess' stength was wearing thin now, so maybe she'de just go out and get something and bring it back. She could see an open passage just up ahead, so it shouldn't take too long getting out of here. A wolf in Aava's condition wasn't one to leave alone for long. Or so Esprit got that idea. But then again, maybe she should be left alone, to regain her proper feelings. Everything was just messed up now when it came to her.
Esprit was in her own condition, besides having some of her ribs show through her now rather thin coat of fur. Her legs had become very strong and firm from all the walking and moving she had been doing, plus the times helping her mother walk. Esprit herself was beginning to take on a certain fright of Aava, for unknown reasons. Just something about her... It sent a chill down the younger fae's spine.
Storm Warning
A low growl suddenly came from a nearby brush. A massive silver male revealed himself, and he sure was a sore sight. His pelt was dull, his eyes slightly crazed and unfocused. He was in much the same condition Aava was but he was forcing himself to live as Kachina had not. "You dare enter the lands of Storm and Kachina?" He growled to the two faes. Now, these two might even know Storm. His family had once been the most respected wolven around for their kindness and generosity. However, in his current state the male wouldn't even recognize his own sisters, Aaka and Moon Spirit. Now this could be bad, for they were part of the reason that Vivek had died. Their allies had killed Vivek for he had wanted Aaka dead. Well, who didn't want that? She was a bitch and everyone knew it. Yellow eyes glared hard at Aava and he let out a dark growl. Yes, this was not once the kind father of Ageni, Enola, and Akecheta. Ah, now they might know them as well. Ageni was well known by many. Enola....Enola was just psycho. She would get into her moods. Akecheta had gone crazy long ago, like Storm himself only the large son would kill anything that moved. Joy.
Aava & Esprit
Esprit was standing over her mother, eyes gleaming. Oh great; they couldn't keep on going while Aava was laying on the ground. Of course, Esprit had earilier considered going out on her own to catch some food, but that'de be risky. Very risky, especially with Aava. Aava wasn't choosing to live or not to live-- she was simply going on without any cares. Recklessly living, you could say, since she really didn't see any point in her mind to be here any longer. While death would be the second best choice for Aava, rather than letting her harm herself more and others along with it, Esprit was what kept her going. That was perfectly fine with Esprit, but it was maybe also because she had never gotten any friends. Her mother, in the senseless state she was in, couldn't be very trusted anymore, with anything...
Esprit suddenly turned her head as the unknown voice rang out and into her auds, which swiveled forward quickly. Hackles now raised, she lowered and bared her sharp fangs, in the aggressive fashion. Oh great; not another -- she began thinking, but couldn't end it since she didn't know what to call this wolf. She didn't know what to even call her mother. When it came right down to it... Aava was of mixed personalities.
Suddenly, fear shot up her spine as she realized her mother was now standing, about half an inch taller than herself. This probably wouldn't be good.
"You dare to talk to me that way!? I outta go over there and squash you like a bug!" she snarled out blindly, hindlegs propelling herself off the ground in an attempt to leap at the unknown brute. Luckily, Esprit had snagged her mother's hindleg just in time, holding her back from the attack. Just as Aava fell back to the ground from the pull, she shot her dial around and slashed at Esprit's muzzle, which now bled from the freshly-torn flesh. Yelping, she tossed her dial around, ridding her sensitive nerves of some of the new pain.
Aava now just sat there, after giving her own head a quick shake. Her features were blank, as if she had no clue of what was going on. As if she hadn't even done anything. She had always vowed to find revenge for her lost mate, one was or another. Aava didn't even recognize her own surviving son, but Esprit she treated just as some troublemaking caretaker. So Aava really wasn't in the best of moods now, either, but she was a force to be reckoned with anymore.
Storm Warning
His eyes narrowed and an ominous growl arose from the massive brutes muzzle as he glared at Esprit and Aava. "I outweigh you, little girl. Try it, I dare you." Then Aava was air born. The male lowered his dial and was about to spring forward and lock jaws with her when suddenly Esprit grabbed onto the females leg. He viewed his children as children, he would keep an eye on them, now and again when he found the time to take out of his day. When he felt lonely he would sit here and talk to his dead mate, Kachina. Not many remembered the once great male. He never did make such a great name for himself, Aaka was the one who did that. Joy. He hated his family, and little did he know he had neices and nephews everywhere in the Valley. One of them even ran a pack, Abamocho. Another, she saved many a wolf just because she could. But those two were Moon Spirits children, Moon always taught and ruled gently. Aaka now, Aaka was different. Her children for the most part were mean spirited, the boys in particular. Well, two of them. Legosa and Aakas daughter Laporta had been killed a few months back, by a wolf named Torture. Funny huh? Another daughter ran away from her family, no one had seen her since. Now here was Storm. A dark snarl arose from him and he said in a voice that matched the winds of Antartica, "What does a fool wolf like you call yourself?" He had never met another who dared defy him, but then again he had been alone for some time. Not many had been by to talk to him, just Akecheta. And that...Hadn't gone over to well. Not well indeed.
