Ayla
The small little owl flew onto a branch. She was a lonely little thing, and cute as well. She cleaned herself slowly, as if savoring it. She swiveled her head to see if there was any danger. She hoo-ed loudly. She was in range of the humans' sight. She started to sleep, tired of being in the light.
*Humans*
Always on the search for canidates to the Firestone Zoo, a group of humans spotted Ayla in the tree. Quietly, they put together a long-reaching net. One human snuck up close to the tree, raising the net up, then swooping it down over Alya, hoping to catch her before she might wake up and fly away...
Ayla
Ayla woke up just before they swooped the net over her. She tried to get away, but soon the net had trapped her. She struggled and called loudly, fearful for her life. She thought that this must be some big bird trying to eat her.
*Humans*
The swung the net groundward, moving it so swiftly that she wouldn't be able to get herself free from its tangles. Wearing thick, leathered gloves, one human grabbed her from the net and held her carefully but firmly. They took some quick measurements of her wings, length, and beak size before fitting a tiny ring around one of her small legs. This was her identification ring; 4223blue. They would giver her an actual name later, but for now, she was just 4223blue. Sticking her in a small carrying crate, they drove off to the zoo.
