Nanook
Hungry female sacrambled up a rocky outcrop. Her alert ears scanned for any sounds of prey. She was hungry, so preferbly, she was looking for a large beast.
*Prey Signs*
If you follow your nose, the scent of mule deer is on the air. There is a herd grazing a little ways down the mountain in a patch of open ground.
There is also the scent of wolverine and blood. A lot of blood. If this scent is followed, it will lead to a fairly large wolverine feasting on a mountain goat. The mountain goat had strayed too far into the timberline of the mountain to look for food that was too scarce higher up near the peaks.
To your ears comes the sound of a red squirrel, chattering away several yards from you. It's cursing and chastising some creature, probably a weasle of sorts or other small predator. It may be hard to catch either of these two though.
Nanook
Nanook picked up the strong scent of a wolverine, and that of a mountain goat. She wa after the fallen buck, but she knew a wolverine's dangers. The creature was like a bear in smaller form. Nose to the ground, Nanook padded in the direction of the predator and the prey.
