Fallen

Midnight fea trotted into the lands. She was hunting for both her and another wolf with a broken leg. She was hoping for something decently big, but easy to take down. She knew not to attack in the human lands, so she tried her luck once again in the wild. Her nose sniffed the air, hoping to catch a scent of a creature ready for its death.

*Prey Signs*

The scent of mule deer hangs heavy on the air. If the scent is followed, it will lead to two bucks grazing in a thicket...

There is also the faint scent of fresh blood, mixed strongly with cougar. That scent will lead up the mountain a ways were a cougar is feeding on a freshly killed mountain sheep.

Fallen

The raven hued temptress followed the scent of the two bucks. She kept low until she found her way to the males. Her eyes fixed, hoping one of them was injured enough to take down easily. She found them and kept hidden, watching and waiting to see their reactions, if they had any.

*Mule Deer*

One buck seemed to hold himself just a bit differently than the other. It may be hard to tell at first, but a keen observation would note that this creature wasn't putting so much pressure on his front left limb. There were two deep puncuture wounds near the shoulder of that limb, causing it weakness from pain and strain. This injury had come from fighting this past fall, but failed to heal properly.

The other buck, the same age as his slightly crippled companion, didn't have any flaws that could be seen yet.

Fallen

She looked at the brute that was limping, she crawled silently toward them, staying close to the heels of the crippled one. When she felt time was ready, she jumped as high as she could, trying to grip the buck by his life hold, his throat. Not wanting to hurt him much, she wanted to end him quickly.

*Mule Deer*

Both creatures jumped at the sight of the wolf springing out from cover. Recent times had brought little attacks on them, letting them drop their guards. Now it proved to be fatal, at least for one of the bucks.

The crippled one was caught around the throat before he had time for a sufficient spring away from his attacker. He fell harshly to the ground, kicking and struggling. One hoof grazed over Fallen's side, cutting a long gash through her skin, but it was really nothing serious. Her aim was true though, and the buck was soon dead from the lethal throat bite.

The other sprang away, then stopped many yards off and snorted, stamping his hoof into the ground. He called for his brother, but got no response.

Fallen

She winced at the cut then, when the buck was dead, licked her wound. Lifting herself she took ate what she could and drug a good portion of the buck back home. Leaving about one-forth left for scavangers.
