Will these thoughts take me...?
Freezing to the bone and covered with bits of ice, Twilight ran up a steep slope on the mountain. Once reaching the top, he stood panting for a moment, his heart racing. He glacned down to see a smidge of blood on the ground where he cut his paw on his hasty accent.
To a better place... where I am free...
It wasn't only exertion that brought his heart to a quickened pace and hot blood to his face. It was the thoughts in his tortured mind. His nature was so submission that he was looked down upon by most. Humility had turned him on himself; whenever he was chastised or did something wrong Twilight turned brutaly on himself, cursing his shy and timid nature and degrating his confidence further.

The ebony hybrid brought himself numbly to the edge of a steep drop off and looked down calously at the deadly drop. His muscles quivered as thoughts flashed and hammered in his brain. His broken spirit urged for his body to make a leap forward and end the suffering, but his primal body struggled against the thoughts.

Moon Spirit was angry at her sister Aaka. She stalked until Twighlight raced past her unseeing. She followed him quietly and could already see what was on his mind. "Twighlight!" it was one word and it was demanding. She wouldnt allow him to jump or fall. She was his protector and would always take care of him no matter what her sister said.

He turned his head sharply, eyes wide and looking unseeing. His rapid breaths hung like little clouds in the winter air. The hybrid's muscles quivered under his ice-covered pelt while he mind debated on their actions. "Moon Spirit..." he finally choked out after a moment of silence, "I'm a coward... you know it. I'm not worth anyone's time!" Twilight glaced towards the edge and took a step closer. His body went still taunter with fear and confusion at his thoughts.

She walked quietly beside him and said "If I didnt have a coward in my life I would turn out just like Aaka. Bitter angry and cold. But Aakas got warmth in her. Youve seen it. I think....You need to see her with pups to understand. Shes actually very kind when there is no one around. Come on Twighlight. I have someone I want you to meet. Hes also a coward but Aaka puts up with him. So what if you cant fight like your brother. You can do what Hunted does. Join packs and get to know them. If you find them enimies you tell us and we eliminate them. If you dont want to do that then fine. Im sure there are other uses for you."

I'm ready... Now he felt like a burden to her. He was stuck in a viscious circle of self-doubt that pulled him down. If Twilight hadn't hesitated and heard Moon Spirit speak, he would have taken the plundge already; but hearing another's voice somehow quelled his rash thoughts of self-annihilation.
Heart stops...
"I will only be a bother to you and your pack... I'm no great fighter or courageous leader. I'm no better than a lowly sikla." the hybrid shuddered, attacking himself with his words again. But the fact that he was replying to Moon Spirit and not leaping from the edge showed that he was actually taking her advice.

Still, in his mind, he had gone too far with his thoughts. Maybe if his parents had been their for him he would have turned out better. Or if his brother was more understanding. But how can someone understand one who doesn't let them see what's inside?

"Your all I have left Twighlight. If it werent for you who would keep me company. Aaka? How can my sister keep me company when were as different as night and day? Come home with me Twighlight. I can show you what matters in life"
On this bulavard of broken dreams
She to knew how it was to feel unwanted. Unloved. She felt a rush of sympathy for the young hybrid and walked closer pulling him into a wolf hug. "Dont leave me alone Twighlight. Please dont leave me here alone"

A rush of moisture came to the hybrid's eyes but he gritted his teeth against the emotions and reluctantly embraced the wolvish hug Moon Spirit offered.
That's alright, lets give this another try...
Here was another feeling that came about with the fae's last words. How could he leave someone with pain? He couldn't imagine anyone caring for his death, but just maybe Moon Spirit was sincere about this. Twilight couldn't hurt her then.

Stepping away from the ledge a bit, Twilight hung his head shamefully, "I will return with you. I never meant to cause anyone dispair." It tore at him to hear her words so he couldn't commit to end his life while he knew she would care so deeply about it. But that was all that held him here.

She smiled softly and said "Lets go home Twighlight. I have someone wolves I want you to meet."

In our short years, we come long way...
He nodded his head a bit, "Alright." The hybrid took a deep breath and shook his pelt, only now noticing the ice still clinging to it and how cold it made him. Yet it was nice to have these feelings back again, when only moments ago they could have been ereased forever. Well, his time would come some day as it does to everyone. But now he was alive and living, and at least for the moment, Twilight was keen to keep it that way.
To treat it bad, and throw away... I want you to be free...
Twilight forced a light smile to his char-colored mug and numbed his mind to blank thoughts. He would follow Moon Spirit and live, but swore to himself never to burden anyone. Especially her.
