Keilo & Kanan

The large wolf padded in and searched about for some sort of shelter where his family could rest. Keilo quickly located a dense stand of pine trees where the wolves could be sheltered from the wind and snow. He crept into the trees.

Kanan followed his father and looked about. His rapid breath brought mists from his mouth, into the frozen air. His heart was beating like he'd just seen a ghost, but it was really the effects of something he ingested.

Vatoni*Kiolana

Vatoni looked over worriedly at Kanan and Kiolana, "Both of you come over here and lie down." She said in a stern but gentle tone.

Kiolana's breath was showing in the air as well, and her head hurt from trying to focuse with her eyes. She walked over to her parents and laid down next to her father, dozing off. Though her side was rising and falling quickly.

Vevisca

Vevisca entered the little grove and settled down near Kiolana and Kanan. His wounds hurt something terrible, but the wolf was thankful for the cold that kept away flies and infection. At least it would heal and be no further hinderance to him, besides the loss of sight in one eye.

Try as he might, Vevisca felt his pulse was racing, and so was his breath. But it wasn't so bad as Lana or Kanan, for he hadn't eaten but one of the ducks. Shrugging off the strange symptoms, Vevisca slowly fell into sleep.

Keilo & Kanan

Kanan had also laid down near his sister and mother, tired and ready for some sleep, as much as he wouldn't admit.

Keilo slept a little while, laying next to his mate. But after some time, he got up and poked his head out of the cover of the grove of trees. Keilo had been in a pack most of his life and it made him very anxious to be out wondering on their own.

Vatoni*Kiolana

Vatoni woke up and looked over at their two sleeping pups. She was still worried about them, and about Umay and Kouji. Turning her attention to her mate she smiled, "What's wrong, Keilo?" She said, noticing how anxious he was.

Kiolana slept peacefully, though she didn't know that when she woke she would be surprised by the side effects from eating the ducks.

Keilo & Kanan

He gave a light sigh, looking out at the land below, "It's just... I feel we're vulnerable out here. And with them sick..." Keilo glanced back at where their young slept in the grove. The wolf gave a sheepish grin, "I'm just worrying too much. As long as we stay clear from humans, everything will be alright." Apart from trying to assuage his own fears, Keilo was trying to sound confident so his concerns wouldn't go to anyone else.
