Yaffa

>Yaffa was taking a stroll through the Coral Mountains. It was early morn. A light fog blanketed the area. There were dew dropletts that tickled her paws as she walked over them. She loved to observe her surroundings. She listened to the early morning birds sing their melodies. She took in a deep breath of fresh air. It felt so good to be out in the open. She noticed that none of the other wolves were around, so she let out a long howl, and awaited for someone to howl back at her.<

Jais

It had been a while since the lone wolf had actually talked to anyone; he had been on his own since his pack was decimated and his brother died of a strange disease. Hearing the fae's howl, Jais's heavy heart lightened and he howled in response. Jais picked up his previously slow pace until Yaffa came into view. Holding his tail loose in a friendly manner, the white wolf stopped and waited for the other to notice him; he didn't want to just approach her without warning or her permission.

Yaffa

>Yaffa's ears perked up as she heared the other wolf's reply. It was close by. She didn't expect anyone to be so near by. She looked around, and spotted the pale creature. She glanced at it. It didn't look harmful, so she wagged her tail and approached him. She looked down, so she could avoid letting him see her misscolored eyes. When she reached him, she spoke in a welcoming voice.<

Hello. My name is Yaffa and I come from Mount Gagazett. I ventured into Mount Croal and I seemed to have lost my way. But since I see that I'm not the only one here, I guess I don't want to return. Who might you be?

>She still avoided making eye-contact with the stranger.<

Jais

Jais let his tail wave in a returned display of friendlyness. He noticed the way she looked down and assumed that she was a bit timid. He hadn't quite noticed her eyes yet.

"Nice to meet you, Yaffa. I'm Jais." Her welcoming tone encouraged him to speak further, "This is a peaceful place, for the most part. Except when the humans come around, which they do now and then. There are two other mountains in this area as well." he pointed out, trying to gain her interest. He was getting curious about her eyes, but decided not to talk about at the moment.

Yaffa

>Yaffa nodded as he accepted her greeting. She looked up at him, revealing her unusual eyes. Realizing what she had just done, she quickly looked back down, and whimpered a little. Then, she decided not to worry about it. She probably didn't see them anyways.<

I'm so glad that you're being friendly towards me. usually other wolves won't approach me for a while. Could you please show me around?

>Yaffa smiled, but still kept her eyes to the ground<

Jais

"Sure, I'd love to show you around." he said with some enthusiasm. "I've had the same trouble with finding others to talk too, but that's in the past anyway. As for places to show you..." the ghostly-hued wolf gave a short pause as he thought of places, "There are some human places, but that could be dangerous. Oh, I know, I'll show you Galar's Marsh. There's an alligator there that my family has known for a long time." Jais was now very curious about her eyes, but thought better of asking. This alligator that he was going to introduce Yaffa to would most certainly comment about them though. But Jais didn't stop to think about that.

"Follow me this way, it's not too far from here!" he yipped lightly and headed for Galar's Marsh.

Yaffa

>Yaffa followed the wolf. She still kept her eyes to the ground, just in case He were to turn back. She was a bit nervous about seeing an alligator, but she didn't want to be thought of as a coward, so she said nothing of it.<
