Moon Phase & Children

The flood waters had continued to rise in the packlands, far too much for them to stay. So after much deliberation, Moon Phase and some of her offspring left for higher ground. Darkeyes, the rest of her youngest children, Taipa, and her pups had not been since since they all left. She hoped that soon they would all meet up. Once she wa satisfied with the area, Moon Phase laid her head upon her paws, breathing a little heavy from the climb. Now all she wanted was to rest and hope the others would soon follow.

The albino female had followed close behind her mother, continuously touching her tail to keep her footing. Being blind made this trech dangerous, but she knew that getting to high ground was important so she did not complain. Her pink eyes blinked when he mother stopped and she turned about, trying to figure out if this was their end point for now.

The biggest of the females looked about, taking on the guard when he mother laid down to rest. Looking back and seeing Kalei she answered the question she knew her sister was asking. "We are done traveling for now. Just rest. If you want, one of us can go around with you later so you can learnt he area."

Kalei scoffed at her sister. She was no longer a helpless pup, and though Jade had avoided this kind of overbaring worry for a long while, starting again already annoyed her. "I'm blind, not stupid. I still have my nose to smell and my paws to feel."

Tiamet and Kismet followed at the rear, catching the conversation and looking off in different directions. Kalei wouldn't be able to see their faces, but Jade sure would. After a few moments of silence, the two split off, going on opposite sides of thier mother and looking for something to keep thier minds occupied.
