The massive raptor soared in on dark sepia wings, scanning the ground below with peircing gold eyes. He had the huge, shapely beak of the Stellar's Eagle, and the classic wedge-tail of the Wedgetailed Eagle. He was a perfect mixture of his two parents, being a little larger than his father, and smaller than his mother.

While Zhener and IceWing settled down further south, Ikenal traveled north. He was seeking out a group of animals he had heard about - the Ancient Guardians.

Kraai was the first to spot the hybrid raptor sailing above, and watched him with marked curousity. But given his size, the much smaller raven didn't fly out straight away to investigate the new bird. Instead, he gave a call to his friend, Pepper. "Pep, come check this out!"

It wasn't long before the little kestrel came flitting through one of the Temple's high windows. She let out a long whistle of amazement as she too spotted the giant eagle above, "Gotcha!" Without needed to be told what to do, the little falcon wheeled up into the sky.

"You are quite the interesting sight, if you don't mind my saying!" Pepper greeted, keeping a few yards to his side as she flew parallel with him. "I'm Pepper, by the way."
