Luna

The she-alpha sprinted into the area and turned her gaze up the mountain. She tested the wind, then began to climb up a slope that wasn't too steep or slippery. She kept all of her senses alert for potential prey.

Shika

She padded in after Luna. She was still worried about Aquila thoguh. She hadent seen him in awhile. Perhapes after the hunt shed go search for him.

Nike and Soraya

They fallowed behind Shika and Luna, staying alert for prey...

*Mountain Sheep*

The scent of mountain sheep soon comes to the hunters. If the scent is followed, it will lead the pack further up the mountain side where traveling is difficult, and steep. A group of fourteen mountain sheep are grazing on the sparse vegitation. Three are adolescents.

Luna

She nods to her pack and follows after the scent. She wasn't use to traveling on the mountains, so she kept a slow pase. Luna slowed down as the scent grew stronger. When she finally came in sight of the sheep, she haulted completely and turned to her pack, "Go for the adolescents; try to split them from the herd."

She waited a moment before lunging forward and heading for the group. She tried to get between the young sheep and the adults, although she kept a lookout for any signs of weakness from any of them.

Nike and Soraya

Nike nods and heads out with her, tying to seperate the adolesents from the adults..

Soraya fallowed her brother, stepping carefully up the hill, she also tried seporate there prey..

*Sheep*

The sheep were separated, and the adults began to climb swiftly up a steep cliff that the wolves couldn't follow. The younger sheep began to run in the other direction, towards another steep cliff...

Nike and Soraya

Carefull not to fall Nike went after one of the younger sheep, trying to grab it by the neck..

Soraya done the same..

Shika

To help keep the adolesents from going up the cliff she snuck into a crevece and when they came her way she jumped out and hiss and meow loudly and angerly putting all her fur on end and showing them her small claws and then she ran towards them and lepped on one trying to scratch out its eyes.

Luna

Knowing she could never catch the adults, and not planning to anyway, she veered quickly after the adolescents. She headed in a straight path and tried to catch up to the one that might be the slowest.

*Sheep*

The sheep out-distanced the wolves, but wheeled around in fear when the little feline surpised them. Shika was able to get onto the blunt face of one of the sheep and, unable to see, he ran strait for Nike. The rest began to run the way the adults went, and narrowly excaped past Soraya and Luna.

Nike

He was ready whent he sheep ran towards him, jumping, with his teeth bared he tried to tackle the sheep by the neck...

*Sheep*

The sheep crashed to the ground, dragging Nike down with him. A hoof hit hard against the wolf's side, but only cause a small bruise. Lucky for Nike, these sheep had rubbery hooves instead of sharp, hard ones. The sheep's neck was crushed by the wolf's powerful jaws, killing it.

Nike and Soraya

Nike yelped whent the sheep kicked him. But when the sheep died he let out a victorios howl..

Soraya was consintrated on the other sheep, she ran at one, snapping her jaws at it's flanks..

*Sheep*

The young sheep was very fleet-footed on the mountain, and he narrowly excaped Soraya. Before any of the other wolves could catch up to them again, the adolescents had begun to climb up the steep cliff that the adults went up. It would be nearly impossible for the wolves to follow them up there.

Nike and Soraya

SHe stopped chasing the sheep and returned back to Nike and the others, "were going to need more food beside this." she said pointing at the sheep Nike had took down..

Nike nodded, "yes..."

Luna

She nodded slowly, looking at the solo kill. A sheep like this wouldn't do much to feed her pack, and they still needed to return food to Aquila. "We'll eat all we can of this meal, then try for another hunting spot. You three can eat first." she said. Being alpha, it was an odd choice to make, but Nike had made the kill. And Soraya had been injured during the last. And Shika did help greatly to bringing down the sheep. "Do you want to hunt in another place after we eat here? I'm not sure of where to look though."

Nike and Soraya began to eat, after they had eaten there fill the looked back at Luna, "Well, I think we should try the prairie, maybe there is more prey there?" Soraya said, there was still more meat on the sheep, they both had made sure to leave some for Luna and Shika..

Luna

Luna padded over and began to eat hungrily until she too was filled. Now there was only a bit left, but it was plenty to fill Shika. She also took a peice of meat and buried it several yards away. That she would return to later to give to Aquila, once they were finished hunting. The alpha turned to Soraya, "The prairie should be a good place to hunt. We'll go there after Shika has eatten."

Nike and Soraya

She nodded..

Nike sat down, ready to hunt agian..

Shika

She smiled and ate. She didnt eat alot but she was smaller then them and had a smaller stomach. She licked her mouth ready.

Luna

She watched Shika finish feeding, then sniffed at the wind. The scent of the sheep still lingered, but she knew full well that her pack couldn't get them now. They would have to try somewhere else. "Alright, let's try the Tall Grass Prairie now." The alpha makes her way down the mountain slope they had climbed and heads for the prairies.

Shika

She nods and follows.
