White feather though still recuperating from the battle and prisoner's attack. She limped up the mountain. She had decided to get away from everything for alittle. Her tail carried low.She still had broken ribs and a semi broken leg.So she didn't put too much preasure on her right front leg. Soon at the top she layed down to rest. She panted and layed her head down on her paws.
Powerful dams and sires had led to the production of the thick-ruffed hybrid. Most notably were Black Fyre, Peregrine, and his own father, Vicious. His mind was sharp and cunning, with a bite to match. But unlike Tersek or Fyre, Lion used his wits far more than his brawns. And on top of that, he was far more sensible and open-minded.
If it had been his brother Tersek, White Feather may have been killed. As luck would have it, Tersek was wounded and Lion was not, so he set it upon himself to do some exploring and be sure the enemies were well and truely gone.
The scent of blood caught Lion's senses, quickening his pace. Though not so pronounced in his summer pelage, the black hybrid expanded his ruff and hackles, increasing the appearance of his size. "What is your name?" He demanded in a low growl, circling stiff-leggedly around White Feather. He hadn't seen her at the battle, but her scent was unmistakable. She was a daughter of the enemy.
White feather looked up as she smelt the scent of another. She shakily stood though almost fell back down. She held her injured paw just off the ground. True she hadn't been in the fight long but she had saved her fathers life from the mare Prisoner but of course that came at great price. She growled her hackles rising as well.I do not answer those who I do not know, so state your name and I shall answer you with mineShe growled. You couldn't put your gaurd down with anyone. He smelt of haunter and then infuriated her.
Lion stopped his circling and stood directly before her. He could see she was clearly injured and of no real threat to him, so he couldn't justify killing her. "Fair enough. My name is Lion, of the Shadow Haunters." The growl ebbed away in his throat, though he didn't put down his defensive stance yet. "Who are your alliances? And what pack do you belong to?"
She watched him not letting her defenses down. When he mentioned he was part of the shadow haunters she doubled checked to make sure her father wasn't around and then looked back to him.I am White Feather, Daugther of Kalaber and part of the Avengers pack. My Alliances lie with those who against the shadow haunters. My fathers family was torn apart by them. She spoke remembering the stories her father always told her and she knew they were true by the way he spoke of it. Especially the part that his mother had been killed by haunters and so was her aunt palatina who her little sis was named after.White feathers looked like her grandmother. Her eyes held sorrow. She waited but did not speak no more.
Lion kept a sturdy look upon his dark face, trying to judge her stories. He would never go against the decisions of his pack, or question their motives. But that didn't mean he couldn't feel sympathy for those who were hurt in the process. "Avengers Pack?" He repeated, all traces of aggression wiped from his voice. "Where are they now?" His eyes drifted towards her wounded leg, and her side.
She watched him and listened. She snorted and shook her head.Wincing slightly.Home resting..They don't know i'm out here, I shouldn't be out here. I should be home resting but I needed to get away and relax. So much tension in the airShe spoke and then sat down wincing again. She watched him. She saw him glance at her side and her leg but said nothing.
Not even realizing it, Lion eased up a little. And despite himself, he almost felt compelled to comfort this enemy! He was such a sucker sometimes...
"No, you shouldn't be out here. If anyone else in my pack found you... they'd kill you without hesitation." He said in a stern but quite tone. Lion sighed heavily, fighting a cloud of confusion in his mind. Why did he want to help the enemy?
Lion took a step closer, with his hackles lowered and tail held down, "I'll tell you what, Feather, I know a place where you can rest and relax. And where you won't be bothered by my pack. Are you willing to trust me?" The hybrid gave a quick glance around, making sure someone from his own pack wasn't nearby.
She watched him. Indeed he was right and if some one from her pack found him out here he would surely be killed as well.Indeed I would but the same would go for you if my pack found you out here you would surely be killed as well Though my family is alittle more understanding and might let you live depending on the situationSHe yawned and then her ears perked up.Seeing as you seem harmless I trust you, But where would this place be located? She spoke watching him.
There was the faintest of grins on his muzzle, "Then it would be best for both of us to get out of here." He decided not to try and dispute what she said about her pack, for in his mind, his own pack work on sound morals. Lion's gaze shifted east, his nose to the breeze, "Pike's Lake. It's more or less neutral ground; at least safer than wondering around up here. You up for the trip?"
She watched him and bobbed her head.Yah I think I can make it.She spoke standing up now and turning in that general direction. She began to limp that way.
Lion followed closely at her side, still fighting with the decision of helping an enemy. He should report her at least... Lion pushed the thought from mind as he headed towards Pikes Lake.
She limped staying next to him the whole time.
