There was a loud bugle sounding throughout the mountains as a large elk came bounding up the side of one. His fur was longer than usual for the winter months, giving him extra warmth. Luckily for him, he could withstand the temperatures of the Croals.

He swung his long 3-foot antlers around and slashed limbs and branches away from his path as he charged through. He used his powerful hind limbs to push off the ground and leap over a boulder, landing on the other side with a loud THUD. That's where he slowed to a halt, white crystalized snow shooting from around his front. He bent his neck down to the ground below and began pushing his muzzle through the snow, biting up some of the grass as he went along. His auds swiveled, and his tail flapped in the chilled wind.
