While working at his job, Greg had overheard a report on local cop being seriously injured during a call. As soon as the name was given, Greg turned the greenhouse over to his father and headed for the hospital. They may have had their differences, but Ryan was still his friend.
Walking up to the main desk, Greg looked for the receptionist, "I was wondering about a patient brought in, Ryan Sohmers?"
She looked up.Right this way pleaseShe said going toward room 130She knocked and then opened the door.,B>Sir you gots a visitor
A smile came when he saw he had a visitor, though he had wished it was Natalie. He was worried about her still, and wanted to talk about her pregnanct. Ryan was still regretting how he had yelled at her.
"Greg, it's good to see you." Ryan said in a tired-sounding voice. His side and hand still hurt, and he had little energy, but at least he wasn't going to die.
If you need something just give a buzzShe soon said and left.
Lyrissa was breezing down the corridor, her suitably sized heeled shoes clipping on the hard floor. She smiled at the nurse that was leaving Ryan's room, and it was a genuinely friendly smile. Doctor Rhydor was one of the easiest staff members to get along with, as her kind and caring attitude, as well as her bright and bubbly personally were hard not to like. She opened the door to find a visitor in the patient’s room. "Oh, Sorry, I didn't realise you had a visitor. Please excuse me."
She looked professional in her white fitted shirt and black linen trousers. Her long, light brown hair was tied back in a ponytail. She moved round to the end of his bed to pick up his chart, and studied the recent notes. Seemingly satisfied, she replaced it. ”How are you feeling today, Mr. Sohmers?”
Looking up to see another face, Ryan was again disappointed not to see that of his sister's. But none-the-less, he offered a vague smile and a nod, "Just a little tired." And there was pain, but he wasn't going to complain about that right now. Afterall, he could have pulled the trigger and downed Kakashi before the crazy man had a chance to start chucking his knives. This was the last time he would ever freeze up with a gun again.
"Do you... know how long I'll have to stay here?" Ryan questioned next, looking to Lyrissa still. Unlike most of the other staff he had encountered thus far, he immediately noted something different about doctor. She seemed... well, nice.
Lyrissa put her hands on her waist, tilting her head slightly as she listened, which made her hair sway gently in its bound state. She hadn't heard all the details about the situation Ryan had found himself in, but from what she had heard, she was glad she wasn't in the police force, but admired him for keeping a cool head.
No, medicine was the thing for her. Helping people was what she loved, and if she saved someone's life, that would be great. Luckily for both of them, Ryan wasn't dying. "Well, you have a minor wound to your hand, which will only need to be bandaged and changed regularly, which isn't too much of a problem. What we are concerned about is the wound in your side. I would say around a week for now, but it could be longer, depending on how long it takes for the tissue around the wound to repair itself. You'll be here for at least a week, so if I were you, I'd look on the positive side. You get at least a week off work, people running round for you, and you don't have to get out of bed for days on end." She smiled. "The not so nice thing is you'll have to put up with me for the time you're here. I've been assigned to take over from the doctor who you first were looked after by. So, anything you need, you can count on me, or one of the nurses. My name is Doctor Rhydor." She offered him a hand to shake before she turned to look at Ryan's visitor, still smiling and extended a hand to him as well. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. ..." She paused, waiting for his name; If he felt like giving it to her.
Withdrawing a hand from his pocket, Greg shook the doctor's, "Wallock. Greg, Wallock." He responded with a smile of his own. There was a slight pause as the younger man made to say something else, but decided against it at the last second. Instead, he closed his mouth and headed for a chair near the bed.
Lyrissa continued to smile, but raised an eyebrow as she noticed his hesitation. Curiosity immidiately sparked within her, and she couldn't help but ask, "Was there something you wanted to say?" It wasn't said in a snappy way, just a light, casual remark. She tilted her head slightly to the left inquisitively, her eyes sparkling.
Whilst she waited for him to respond in any way, she turned her head towards Ryan. "Is there anyone you would like me to contact?"
Ryan caught the unspoken question as well and he cast his friend a questioning look. But before he got an answer, Lyrissa's next question was posed, "Could you contact my sister, Natalie Sohmers?" He was getting worried about her, with the whole pregancy thing. And still, he felt horrible about how he reacted. But moreso than that, he feared Zabuza's gang might try to hurt him by going after his sister.
