Dimitri
Dimitri stopped the car in front of the hospital. He wiped the blood from his face while he got out. He helped Hunter into the hospital, nearly falling as his injured leg started to give out under him. He was hyperventilating and his heart was racing. "Help! She needs help!" He called. A few people in the waiting room stared at the young couple, but Dimitri didn't notice.
Hunter
Her hands were gripping Dimitri's shirt tightly, blood dripping from her temple. another contraction gripped the young woman and she screamed, her entire body shuddering. Sweat beaded on her brow and tears were streaming down her face. Dimitri... Dimitri I don't want to lose the baby. She whispered softly to him.
Dimitri
Dimitri's vision was getting cloudy as unconsciousness threatened to take over. His face was covered in streams of blood and his heart was racing. He held Hunter firmly in his arms, looking down at her with green eyes that were once so vibrant but now seemed dull and lifeless. "I know, Hunter. I won't let anything happen to either of you." It was all he could do to reassure her. He raised his head again and looked at the doctors who passed. "Hey, we need some fucking help over here!" He shouted.
Hunter
She was trembling in his arms, her eyes half glazed over with pain.
Eva came around the corner, blood staining her normally pristine white coat. I need a surgical team in room 306! she shouted down the halls. Nobody dared mess with Eva. The tall slim redhead had a temper about her, a temper that let everyone know that she ran this place. It didn't matter who the chief of staff was. Everybody answered to Eva. At Dimitri's yell she yelled as well. WHY THE HELL ISN'T ANYBODY HELPING THOSE TWO?! the nurses at the nurses station jumped, and two doctors paused in there tracks. The redhead was seething with anger as she trotted up to Dimitri and Hunter. You. Wheelchair. Now. You. Room. Now. She said to the two. She took Hunter in her arms. She was a lot stronger then she looked, but when you trained horses thats what you got. She carried Hunter into one of the rooms and laid her down. I need a nurse in here! She shouted. It was to late to give Hunter an epideral, the woman was going to have to suffer through the pain.
One of the nurses brought up a wheelchair for Dimitri. Sir, will you please sit down? She asked softly. It was her first day at the hospital. Actually, her first hour really. What would happen with Dimitri?
Dimitri
Dimitri glanced at Eva when the doctor came to help. He was a bit hesitant about letting her take Hunter away. He already lost enough. He hasn't going to lose his girlfriend and their unborn daughter. He nodded vaguely when Eva gave him orders. But when the nurse came, he had other plans. He wasn't going to just sit down. Not when Hunter could be dying in there. "I'm fine. I need to stay with Hunter." The Russian man mumbled, trying to stagger away. He didn't get very far before he finally passed out.
*Nurse*
The nurse groaned inwardly before rushing over to Dimitri. I need some help over here! She called out. Two male nurses ran up and hefted dimitri on a stretcher before wheeling him into a room next to Hunters.
The woman was screaming as another contraction hit her. Something was wrong, very wrong indeed. Shit. mumbled Eva. The baby was breached, and if she didn't get her turned around Eva could lose both mother and daughter.
Dimitri
Dimitri was floating in and out of consciousness. He tried to speak, but he could even open his mouth. Within a few moments, he had mostly regained consciousness, though it seemed to him like it had been hours. He sat up and tried to put his hands around the nurse's neck, in an attempt to mercilessly strangle her. "What have you done to Hunter?! Who do you work for?!" He was sure that these nurses and doctors worked for Damian. This was just another slaughterhouse to him. He could hear Hunter screaming, and that could just kill him.
*nurse*
Her eyes got real big as Dimitri's hand clamped around her throat. The young blondes eyes filled with tears as she struggled to get away. Please... Let go... I work here, at the great Springs hospital... She tried to reach the nurse call button, but it was just out of her reach. Let me go, please! She was gasping for air, and she feared that nobody would find her before it was to late.
Hunter was trembling, her eyes huge and sweat dampening her brow. Hunter. Calm down. I'm going to- Eva began, but Hunter interrupted her. MAKE IT STOP! She screamed, her body coming off the bed trying to get away from the pain. Sighing, Eva grabbed a syringe and plunged it into Hunter's arm. Within minutes the girl was relaxing, her breath hitching slightly but she was calmer and she felt no more pain. Brace yourself. Murmered Eva. She began trying to turn the baby around.
Dimitri
Dimitri kept a tight grip on the tiny nurse's neck, clenching his teeth with pure insanity in his eyes. "Don't lie to me." He said through gritted teeth.
If it weren't for Viktor, Dimitri probably would have killed the nurse. "Dimitri! Stop that!" He shouted to his brother, pulling the younger man away from the nurse. "You're in the hospital, alright Dimitri? The woman you just tried to strangle is a nurse who was trying to help you. Hunter is fine. Right now, I need you to calm down." The doctor said calmly, though he had to use every ounce of strength he had to restrain his little brother. "And...stop killing people."
"Then you kill her. They've got Hunter." Dimitri said to Viktor, nodding to the nurse he had tried to strangle.
*Nurse*
The nurse put a hand to her already bruising throat, eyes burning in her eyes. What a way to start a new job. His... Blood pressure is elevated. she gasped softly, trying to take a breath and trying to remember everything she had recorded before Dimitri had gone beserk. Another strangled scream could be heard from the room next door, and the nurse jumped out of Dimitri's arm reach before he could get a hold of her again. Hunter was still in obvious pain, and she wasn't about to be blamed for it.
FOR THE LVOE OF GOD, SOMEBODY GET THEIR ASS IN HERE! Shouted Eva. She had the baby turned around, and it was crowning but something was wrong. Hunter shouldn't be in this much pain, not with a tranquilizer in her system. Honey, I need you to push, ok? She crooned to Hunter, trying to calm down the scared young woman.
Dimitri & Viktor
Viktor looked at his brother and raised an eyebrow. "She's a nurse, you dumbass. I'm not going to kill anybody. ...Except you, maybe." He was going to have to give Dimitri a strong tranquilizer so he didn't try to strangle anybody else. He grabbed a syringe out of a drawer, and, struggling to keep Dimitri still, jabbed it into his arm. Within a moment, he was out.
Doctor Kiana Asther heard Eva's call. She rushed into the room. "Holy shit..." She muttered as she waited for orders.
Eva * Nurse
The nurses eyes were as big as saucers as she stared at Dimitri before she suddenly burst into tears. I was just trying to do my job! She was slightly hysterical, for no where in nursing school had anybody said that she would get attacked and strangled while trying to help someone.
Eva's eyes raised to the Doctor. Kiana, I need you to calm her down. See if you can get me another tranquilizer, for some reason the other one didn't do anything. Her brow was furrowed as another contraction swept over Hunter. Push honey, your almost there. You can do it. She murmered softly. Hunter pushed and soon a babys screams was filling the room. Mixed with it were muffled screams from Hunter and her own cries of pain. Something was seriously wrong.
Viktor & Kiana
Viktor put his hand on the nurse's shoulder. "I know, he's just...really, really paranoid. He's had a tough life." He didn't mention the part about Dimitri being slightly insane, though the nurse would probably already know that.
Kiana nodded and grabbed a syringe. "Alright, sweetie. I need you to calm down." She injected the tranquilizer, hoping that this one would work. Kiana wasn't an expert in this field, but she knew something bad was happening. "What's wrong?" She asked Eva.
Hunter
Sweat was pouring from her skin, her eyes were wide and dilated. I'm Calm. Jesus christ, I'm calm. She wanted to rock back and forth, make the pain stop. Eva's hands felt like they were burning her skin and she screamed as the womans hands moved over her. Why did it hurt? What was this feeling?
Eva's eyes were filled with worry, and for the first time in her career she whispered I don't know whats wrong. I don't know how to fix it. Anymore tranquilizers and it could send Hunter into a coma, and that was something that dimitri would kill them for.
The nurse shook her head and turned, walking out the door. She wanted a quiet life, a calm life. And she certainly wasn't going to get it from Dimitri. Maybe later she would come back and talk to him, when he was feeling calmer.
Viktor & Others
Viktor could hear Hunter screaming, and he was glad Dimitri couldn't, because he'd kill anybody in his path to get to the girl, including Viktor himself.
Kiana glanced at Eva. She didn't know what was wrong either. She wasn't trained in this field. "...What do we do now?" The young doctor asked.
Several minutes later, a nurse walked into the room. "The boyfriend is awake now - well, sort of awake - and he's begging to see Hunter. What should I tell him?" At this moment, Viktor was having to pin Dimitri against the wall to keep him from getting away. Viktor wouldn't let Dimitri see Hunter without Eva's approval. Thankfully, the tranquilizer was still partly in effect, keeping Dimitri from breaking Viktor's neck.
Hunter
Eva's eyes wondered up to the nurse. She... she can see visitors. Hunters screaming had finally subsided, but she was stil crying and hiccuping now and again, and Eva knew that something was still wrong.
Hunter. I need you to tell me, have you taken any drugs in the past forty eight hours? The girl shook her head. Eva nodded on her lower lip and looked to Kiana. Have you been anywhere, done anything lately? Another shake of her head.
Dimitri
The nurse nodded and left the room, and within a few seconds, Dimitri rushed in and stopped at Hunter's side. He grabbed her hand, afraid of losing her too. He too suspected that something was wrong, and he feared that somebody did this to Hunter.
Dimitri glanced up at Eva as the doctor asked the questions. He then focused on Hunter again. "Did anybody hurt you, Hunter?" He asked, clearly worried.
Hunter
Her eyes were glazed as they drifted over to Dimitri. No. Nobody hurt me. Her skin still felt as though someone were burning it, but she didn't mention that. If she did, Dimitri would panic.
Hunter... You had a healthy baby girl. Shes in the nursery right now. Eva said softly to the girl and her boyfriend. Do you have any names picked out yet?
Dimitri
Dimitri didn't believe Hunter. He was sure somebody hurt her, but maybe he was just paranoid. Well, he was. But he didn't push it for fear of stressing her. He looked nervously into her eyes. He thought she was going to die today.
His green eyes then shot up to Eva. Today, Dimitri was a father. He couldn't wait to see his baby girl. He smiled at Hunter. "What do you think, Hunter? Are there any names that you're thinking of?" He asked calmly.
