Ryan Sohmers

For once, it wasn't him that needed help this time. Sirens blaring and flashing, Ryan parked the squad car at the front enterance and hauled the barely-concious Neji out of the backseat. He wasn't sure what to make of the boy's condition, but the logo carved so crudely on his forehead suggested one thing only - he had gotten tangled with the CrypticSilvers.

"I need some help!" Ryan shouted out, carrying the bloodied boy throught emergency room as he looked about for assistance.

Neji

He was barely concious his missing eye closed and blod still dripping from both places. His good eye was narrowed but opened.

Dr. Laura Marachek

Ryan's calling quickly attracted the attention of the various milling nurses and staff, as well as a familiar salt-and-peppered haired, middle aged woman, who peered up from a chart to the familiar voice. With a sign, she got to her feet, and made her way toward Ryan and Neji, who was already being loaded onto a guerny by several capable members of the ER staff. Her comment to Ryan before she whisked Neji away was brief and direct. "What'd I say about bloodying my hospital, Mr. Sohmers? Well, at least it isn't you, this time."

That said briefly, Neji was quickly wheeled away into a room, where he was being quickly assessed by the various staff.

Neji

He had injury to his ead which was the carved initals CS and then his right eye was completly destroyed.

Dr. Laura Marachek

Unlike one particularly new nurse, who had to be escorted from the room due to queasiness, Dr. Marachek looked over Neji's injuries with a critical, but level and impartial eye, particularly concentrating on the bloodied mess of the ravaged eye. She knew instantly that this could not be saved, and instead lay a strip of gauze over the carved initials to keep the blood out of the way and moved to inject a sedative into the young man's shoulder, so that he would drift slowly into drugged sleep and thus make it possible for her to remove the mangled and useless orb painlessly from his head and stitch the empty socket shut.

Neji

He had his good eye partially opened watching. He hated needles so when she braught the sedatic at first he struggled unsure of what she had in it but then he gave up and laid still and soon fell into a sleep.

Ryan Sohmers

If Natalie could do it, surely he could too. Right...? But Neji, he wasn't your typical kid... would he be violent prone? Maybe a klepto? Ugh, and what about messes... Ryan couldn't stand that, as his OCD demanded that his house remain in perfect order and devoid of any and all clutter.

Well, it was too late to think about those things now, he had already signed the papers. Neji was under his care now, reguardless of the second thoughts that he was having. The officer leaned back against the stiff chair, glancing to the clock now and then, and waiting for any updates on the boy.

Neji

Neji when allowed to finally sit up sat up.He had gotten a blood transfusion and he also had no clue that social services had been contacted and found him.

Ryan Sohmers

It took a good two hours of waiting until they saw Neji fit to recieve company. Ryan was led to the boy's room, where he pulled up a chari beside the kid's bed and sat down. "I'm not really sure how to go about this..." The officer began, fiddling absently with his fingers, but eventually lifting his eyes to meet Neji's, "...you were in a tight spot, kid. They were planning on sending you away." Ryan clasped his hands together, in an effort to keep himself fully focused on the subject at hand, "It's not 100% official yet, but; I've decided to take you in. If you're alright with it, of course." Deep down, he felt badly for the kid, and figured this might be Neji's last shot at making a future for himself.

Neji

Neji was sitting up in the bed.Bandages wrapped around his forhead and right eye.HE glanced at ryan. His eyes slightly narrowed. Why the fuck did the man drop him off at this guys house? Were they idiots? He could easily tell ryan the name of the organization that really did this to him. he listened to him. His eye went wide. The DSS Had found him? But how? There must be run away signs or something he though. If he didnt take the offer he would be sent away. He knew now he had no choice.FineHe said it gruffly. He knew it be hard living with him while attempting to still be with the akatsuki. But oh this would be interesting.

Ryan Sohmers

Brown eyes remained on the boy, as if sizing him up on his reply and trying to decide whether or not this was a good decision. He was loath to have a messy house, and although he didn't know what Neji was like, he almost cringed at the thought of what havoc a teen like him might make. "There's going to be some rules, of course, but I want you to feel at home, too." The man began, adopting a more serious face as he said it, "Firstly, the basement is offlimits until I say so." The last thing he needed was for the kid to get into his collection of exotic reptiles and either get himself bitten or steal one of his pets. "No more of this gang shit. Throwing knives and shooting people with arrows doesn't fly at my house, alright? This is your second chance at a new life - and that means giving up your old one."

Neji

Neji didn't even look at ryan but listened. He expected the gang shit stuff. But he'd find a way around that. There was always away around those things. Most of the gang was also his friends so he wouldn't give them up.Sure what ever you saywas his response. It was awkward for him as well. He didn't know how to respond but if he didn't accept this the dss would cart him off somewhere else.
