Benjamin *EMTs*

By the time the ambulance reached the hospital, the EMTs had concluded that none of the wounds were life threatening. But just to be safe, the two victims still needed to be checked out, and would have to give their statements to the police afterwards.

When the vehicle pulled up to the emergency entrance, a team of nurses was there to recieve them. Just before they were to be split up and taken to different rooms, Benjamin began to talk in an aggravated manner, shaking his head in dismay, "I honestly don't understand this! We were just having a nice chat together, and those thugs burst into the room, with their damned knives..." The rest of his sentence was lost as he was separated from Cassidy and Johann, who were being taken to an adjescent room. But he hoped that it was at least enough to give them a base for their story, incase they didn't get the opportunity to collaborate on it before the cops showed up.

Cassidy*Johann

As Ben had hoped, both Cassidy and Johann noted his hurried explanation to the nurses, memorizing it with the swift efficiency of long practice. As the lead Cassidy into the room, she sat obediently down on the examining table, trembling slightly through Johann's flannel shirt as he stood beside her, an arm defensively around her as he faced off with the nurse. This was mostly born of his instinct to protect Cassidy, but the nurses would likely contribute it to post-attack stress, which was perfectly fine. It would be perfectly understandable for him to be defensive of the girl right now.

*Nurses*

The nurse went to work at once, keeping up a friendly and profession facade as she began to treat Cassidy. "I'll need you to hold still for me, ok?" A syringe was in her hand as she spoke, finger flicking rapidly against the instrument as she knocked the air bubbles from it. "This will only sting for a moment." And with one hand to hold back any stray bangs or locks of wayward hair, she made a round of injections about the wound to numb the area on Cassidy's forehead.

Johann's gaze never wavered off of the nurse as she worked, not really caring if it made the girl uncomfortable. His blue eyes now portrayed an intensity of genuine emotion that he hadn't dared show to Ben, but which it was now safe to display to the nurse since Ben was in the other room.

Cassidy was tremblingly obedient, wincing a little as the injections were given but not protesting or moving in an undue manner.
