The old, baby-blue van came to a screeching hault in front of the ER doors. "Quick now, hurry up! Dan, you watch for the others, got it?" As the young man nodded and sprinted down the parking lot, Tom carefully pulled Aldo from the back of the van, doing his best not to notice the staggering amount of blood in the vehicle and all over the shirts his his crew. Fighting a queasy feeling in his gut, Tom carefully carried the younger man towards the doors, "We need some help!" He hollered out.
Mikhail and Scott were right after Tom, one helping Bonnie while the other helped Andrea.
Lark helped the smaller Shasta to her feet. It was good the the temporarily paralyzed girl barely weighed anything. A bullet had been lodged in Shasta's spine and fragments of bone pressed against her spine. There would be little permanent damage, but it caused a great deal of pain. Lark began to drag Shasta through the doors.
Bonnie and Andrea could walk, but both were stunned after their ordeal. Without a word, they exited the van.
