Penguin; Carita

The father and daughter wolf dragged Ethan to the door of the hospital, making sure not to grip him too tightly. They set him down gently once they reached the building. Both wolves turned around and began barking, trying to attract attention.

Ethan Rom

Slipping in and out of consciousness, Ethan scarecly knew who or what was moving him. He could fear the agonizin burn in his back, where three bullets had hit, but that was about it.

When the wolves stopped dragging him, the man forced his weary eyes to open and was greeted by a flush of light that had been lacking at the Alleys, where he had been mowed down by Carl Savichos. Then everything went black.

Penguin; Carita; Jeremy Townsend

The dogs continued to bark until somebody answered their frantic calls. Jeremy ran to the door, followed by several other doctors and nurses. Paying little attention to the wolves, they lifted Ethan onto a guerny and wheeled him back to the emergency room. They were silent as they worked, cleaning the wounds and removing the bullets. They then stitched up the wounds. After they were finished, they brought him into another room to recover.

Jeremy and a medical student were talking just outside the room while they waited for Ethan to wake up. They knew they had to ask him what happened so they could put the person who did this in jail. "Who do you think would do this?" The student asked. Jeremy shook his head. "It could have been anyone, but I'm betting that it was a gang attack. It could have been that he attacked first, but I don't think somebody acting out of self-defense would shoot an attacker in the back." He replied exhaustedly. The young woman nodded in agreement.

Ethan Rom

It took a while, but eventually Ethan came around. He felt dead tired. As his eyes drifted open, he heard the foggy voices of two people talking, but couldn't quite make out their words yet. "Where...." Oh, he was so very tired, he could hardly speak. Vaguely, he began to recall what had last happened to him.

Jeremy Townsend

Hearing Ethan's voice, Jeremy walked back into the room, carrying a clipboard. "You were shot in the back three times. Some wolves saved you. Do you remember who did this to you?" He asked.

Ethan Rom

His eyes were forced open again, as he moved his head faintly to the side. Blinking groggily to clear his vision, Ethan looked up at the doctor, "Shot...?" Ethan breathed out in a forced voice, his mind still hazy from the drugs, "...who? ...no..." The man swallowed hard and closed his eyes. "I didn't ...see anything." A plain lie.

Jeremy Townsend

Jeremy looked hard at Ethan. "Is there anyone who might have a grudge on you?" He questioned, letting his hands fall to his sides.

Ethan Rom

Ethan closed his eyes, trying to make his mind work through the haze of painkillers and fatigue. He couldn't let himself slip up now, "...no." The man whispered hoarsely, feeling like he was about to fall back to sleep. He wanted to pin down the CS for this, but he couldn't risk starting a fued with them until he found out for sure why Carl had attacked him.

Jeremy Townsend

Jeremy thought for a while before speaking up again. This time, he wasn't interrogating Ethan. "Is there a friend that we could call for you?" He asked, realizing the injured man might feel more comfortable with somebody he knew.

Ethan Rom

Glad to be getting off the subject of 'who did it', Ethan allowed his eyes to flicker back open. "Bonnie Hatchett." He said without hesitation. Ethan knew he should get in contact with Ben about this, but he didn't feel like talking with him or the others at the moment.

Jeremy Townsend

Jeremy nodded politely and left the room. He walked to a desk, picked up a phone book, and began searching through it. Once he found Hatchett, he dialed a number and began speaking.
"Hello, is this Bonnie Hatchett?
Ethan Rom, was shot and is in the hospital. He requested that we call you.
"
He returned to Ethan's room. "Your friend should be here shortly."

Bonnie

Bonnie quickly walked through the doors and stopped at the desk. "Could you tell me what room Ethan Rom is in, please?" She asked.

Ethan & *Nurse*

Looking up from her work, the older nurse nodded, "Mr. Rom is down that hall, to the left. Room 315." She informed, "He may be a little groggy still, but I'm sure he will be awake by now."

Bonnie

Without another word, Bonnie ran down the hallway and into room 315. "Ethan?..." She asked quietly.
